Phefumula: Zulu v. intr. 1) breathe

Against the slopes of the Magaliesberg range is an escape from the hectic Highveld rush, a place of peace and quiet romance. A place to breathe, or just take a deep breath.

Nestled against the Magaliesburg mountains are two secluded, luxurious cottages with views of the mountain and each with the rare attribute, privacy. Ideal for when you want a breather to reconnect body and soul or to put it simply … some quality ‘me’ or even better ‘we’ time. When not simply relaxing this provides an opportunity to take advantage of magnificent walks or mountain biking. For the more energetic this provides a great base for exploring the Magalies Meander with many places of interest. The area is stooped in history which is another interesting area to be explored.

Less than an hour and a half from Johannesburg, Phefumula is the home of Jenni and Dave, the ‘Gilli-Smiffs’, as well as being a working 200 ha cattle farm and SA Warmblood stud.
